🚀 MX On New PLC Series
Introducing the MCR7 Series, a compact, modular PLC that brings machine control, I/O expansion, and motion control together on a single platform.
Product Overview
- Product Name: MX On MCR7 Series PLC
- Design Concept: Compact · Modular · Flexible
- Key Applications: Machine Control, I/O Expansion, Motion Control
- Dedicated Engineering Software: MCR Master Software
Hardware Architecture — Why "Modular"
The MCR7 Series adopts a modular architecture, allowing a base CPU unit to be combined with I/O modules, communication modules, and other add-ons as needed.
- From small-scale equipment to large production lines, you can flexibly design your system scale by selecting only the I/O and communication modules you need.
- Its compact footprint makes installation easy even in space-constrained control panels.
- When future equipment expansion is needed, you can simply add modules — no need to replace the entire controller.
※ Detailed ratings such as input power, number of I/O channels, communication interfaces (e.g., Ethernet / CC-Link / Modbus), CPU processing speed, scan time, and the number of supported servo axes will be updated once the official catalog is released. We'll update this newsletter as soon as the full spec sheet is available.
Software — MCR Master Software
The core strength of the MCR7 Series lies in its companion software, MCR Master Software.
- Visual hardware topology configuration: Design the connection structure of your CPU, I/O, and communication modules visually, via drag-and-drop. No need to cross-check wiring diagrams manually — the entire system layout is visible at a glance.
- Dual programming language support: Supports both standard Ladder Diagram (LD) and Structured Text (ST), so you can choose familiar ladder logic or structured, code-based programming depending on the complexity of your application.
- PLCopen-standard motion commands: Servo axis control is implemented through the internationally standardized PLCopen Motion Control command set.
Motion Control Capabilities — What PLCopen Commands Enable
Built-in PLCopen commands within MCR Master Software support the following motion control functions:
- Axis Control : Basic control of individual servo axes — enabling, stopping, and status monitoring
- Positioning : Absolute/relative coordinate-based position control
- Homing : Standardized homing sequences to establish a reference position
- Synchronized Motion : Coordinated movement across multiple axes — ideal for conveyors and multi-axis transfer equipment
Who Is This For?
Engineers looking to standardize on a single PLC platform, from small equipment to multi-axis motion lines
- Teams who want the flexibility of both Ladder Diagram and Structured Text to boost both maintenance and new development productivity
- System designers who need PLCopen-standard portability and scalability for servo motion logic
